Illuminate 2
From the Illuminate family of high fidelity speakers, the Illuminate 2’s are a two-way design and stand 710mm high. They exploit the use of two 8” High Definition drivers designed in Denmark. With the help of a front firing port, bass frequencies are extended to an impressive 35Hz. The dual 8" woofers also increase speaker sensitivity to 93.2dB/W/m, whilst adding further power handling capabilities.  High frequencies are captured by the highly rated dual ring radiator tweeter. This unique design offers excellent on and off-axis properties and a linear frequency response in excess of 30,000Hz.  
 
The woofer and tweeter are integrated via the electrical crossover. Built only from high quality audiophile components, the crossover network is designed for full spectrum transparency. A Zobel Network is included in the current model to stabilise woofer impedances that vary with frequency, improving the consistency of the crossover point and adding to the clear crisp sound.

    Finish: Blackwood real wood veneer. Stained in a variety of colours and varnished with polyurethane
    Construction: 19mm MDF - Internally Braced for high rigidity and strength. MDF has a very organic timbre, especially when compared to plastic and other materials
    Damping: Cabinets are damped with audio grade matting, reducing standing waves and unwanted internal resonance
