Synonymous to the Greek God, the Summanis Apollo tells no lies. A true passive monitor at heart and designed from the ground up to provide a transparent sound for the studio environment. The 8 inch Danish woofer provides very low frequency production that is deep and clear, whilst the acclaimed radial tweeter continues the frequency response to well over 20,000Hz.
The Apollo is designed for a flat frequency response, giving you true representation of the music you are listening to. Extended bass is achieved with a rear mounted dual flared port, eliminating any nasty turbulence at high volumes. Banana plugs, or speaker wire down to 12gauge is accepted into the rear terminal cup.
The woofer and tweeter are integrated via the electrical crossover. Built only from high quality audiophile components, the crossover network is designed for full spectrum transparency. A Zobel Network is included in the current model to stabilise woofer impedances that vary with frequency, improving the consistency of the crossover point and adding to the clear crisp sound.
